Carchelo Altico is a red wine made by Bodegas Carchelo. The winery has 100 plantations, both their own vineyards and rented vineyards, with Monastrell, Tempranillo, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties. These vineyards are found in different valleys, with different orientations and altitudes. This variety of altitudes and orientations results in differences in the interception of solar radiation, temperature and wind exposure. This means that the grapes ripen at different times, allowing a staggered harvest for the different varieties and vineyards. Carchelo Altico is made with grapes of the Syrah variety. It is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
