One of the most expressive Couhins Blancs that we have ever tasted, the 2020 vintage is beautifully fresh and fruity thanks, according to Roman Baillou, to its north facing slopes which are always cool. Made from a blend of 93% Sauvignon Blanc and 7% Sauvignon Gris this is "a little jewel of ripe fruit.” The aromas are very typical of Sauvignon with very intense primary notes – a fruit salad of mango, orange, pineapple, and gooseberry with very piercing, salty, acidity. A pure, precise wine, which is fine and long on the finish. Excellent to drink young or wait a few years to see how deeper flavours of blossom, chamomile and almond develop to add complexity and texture to the wine
