Château La Haye has been planted to grape vines as far back as 1557, and passed down through a single family for over 370 years! Somehow, it has remained delightfully under the radar, with Vinous calling it “one of the appellation’s hidden gems.” We’d love for it to stay that way but then you wouldn’t have the chance to try it! This stellar example of expressive and elegant winemaking can be attributed to legendary winemaker Eric Boissenot. Decanter Magazine called him “one of the most influential figures in Bordeaux”… who just so happens to be the consulting winemaker for FOUR of Bordeaux’s First Growth Châteaus: Lafite Rothschild, Latour, Margaux, and Mouton Rothschild. You know of all these Bordeaux greats, of course – they’re legendary for a reason. But you should also know Château La Haye in St. Estephe, as it’s one of the oldest estates – and one of the most magnificent – in the region.
