Christophe Thorigny is the fourth generation of his family to work 10.5 hectares of Chenin Blanc vines in the village of Parcay-Meslay in the appellation of Vouvray. He farms by the principle of Lutte Raisonnée, with as little intervention in the vineyard as possible. His vines are planted on a plateau of tuffeau, the local soils of chalky clay and flinty clay which cover a thick layer of limestone.
