The vibrant, clear, pale yellow color of the wine is rather misleading. The nose reveals a complex matrix of crystalline fruit, heady white blossoms, hints of ginger preserve and fresh, ripe pear and quince. This wine is a delightful surprise with its onslaught on the senses from the nose through to the palate. Quite an extraordinary wine, this is not your everyday Sauvignon Blanc. This is a ‘one of a kind’ Sauvignon Blanc and a very rewarding rendition of this variety grown in one of our country’s most challenging viticultural regions, Cape Agulhas.
