Maple Cask is the result of the careful maturation of the rarest rums in oak casks, which vary in their degree of burnout. These rums are then blended and this blend is further matured in maple barrels, giving the resulting rum its characteristic flavour and aroma. The aroma of this rum is complex and harmonious. You can detect notes of maple syrup, caramel, vanilla and dried fruit. There is also a subtle woodiness from the maple barrels. On the palate there are subtle notes of honeyed maple syrup, caramel and a little spice. The finish is long and elegant with hints of vanilla and subtle woody notes. The rumhas a balanced sweetnessand robust character.
