Taken Chardonnay White Wine boasts a beautiful nose of spice, citrus and lemon blossom. On the palate, Asian pear, grapefruit and Gravenstein apple are rounded out with hints of butterscotch and walnut. The mouthfeel is juicy, though not too heavy, with an uplifting, refreshing, crisp finish. Bright Napa Valley acidity is balanced out with creaminess coming from a splash of Sonoma fruit. The 2019 vintage received 91 points from James Suckling in 2021. Sourced from the renowned Napa Valley, this Chardonnay showcases the charm and essence of this region. After being picked in the early morning hours, grapes were brought into the winery for processing. After undergoing native yeast fermentation half of the wine went through malolactic fermentation, rounding out the palate and adding a delicious, creamy note. The wine was then aged in French and American oak barrels (30% new) for 9 months. Pair this wine with grilled salmon or shellfish accompanied with rice and vegetables.
