Zwack was created by Dr. József Zwack in 1790 to help settle Emperor Joseph II’s tummy. Made from a blend of more than 40 different herbs and spices, some distilled, some macerated, it is joined together to marry and age in oak casks for at least 6 months. The nose is full and inviting-- tea, cinnamon, caramel, allspice, clove, stewed citrus, sweetened nutmeg and many other enticing aromas. The flavors follow suit in a creamy, slick mouth feel that is vibrant and evocative with 'slightly' sweet spices.
